China

China is a Blue Great Dane, she was still a pup in this photo, probably about 6 months old. She was all ears and mischievousness! 

This drawing is not a commission, it is the first in a series to showcase my new medium - graphite pencil. As I have always loved this photo of her, this seemed an excellent place to start.  Very interesting and fun to do. The highlights in this photo were fabulous and being a smooth coat there was a lot of fur definition.
