Yoko

Yoko was commissioned as a memorial portrait by Shane and his wife.

She was beautiful wasn’t she. The first German Shepherd I have done, doesn’t she look like a police dog? She did start out as a police pup. Beautiful colouring with her black fur and was really lovely to paint. We did start of with the scenic background on this, but it didn’t really suit the portrait so we ended up going with a tonal background which worked much better with so much black fur.
