McKenzie

Karen won the portrait of McKenzie through a promotion from Roam NZ. We picked an oil painting and she took some great photographs for me.

Such a cute girl! Quite a technical portrait with all the curly fur and it took a wee while to get the technique working for this one. For the background I decided to add the grass as it just complimented the portrait so well. Normally I avoid using a background with lots of texture, especially with a curly furred dog, as it can detract from the subject, but in this case it worked out well, and Karen was very happy.
