Eddie

Eddie was a beautiful looking, much loved dog that suddenly passed away. He was commissioned by Allison for her partner Albert as a memorial painting.

I think this one is currently my favourite. This was originally going to be a pencil drawing, but as the dog had such black fur, I thought it would make a far more remarkable painting than drawing. That was definitely the case! Sometimes portraits start of a bit slowly and can take quite a bit of adjustment between layers, but this one came together almost straight away! It was an absolute delight to do, and I was really pleased with the outcome, as was Allison and Albert.
